Job Seeker User Manual

NEON – National Employment Service


1. Overview

The NEON (National Employment Service) portal allows Job Seekers in Trinidad and Tobago to register, manage their profiles, apply for programmes, and access employment-related services online.

2. Home Page

The Home Page is the main entry point to the NEON portal.

Features:

Navigation Tabs:

  • Info
  • FAQ
  • Sign Up +
  • Log In

Three Informational Cards:

  • Farm Programme
  • Sign Up as a Job Seeker
  • Sign Up as an Employer

Footer Section Includes:

  • Technical Enquiries contact information
  • About Us
  • Policies
  • National Employment Service Unit contact details
  • Farm Programme Unit contact details


3.2 Required Documents

All documents must be:

  • Scanned in JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF format
  • No larger than 5MB each
  • Correctly named before uploading

Required Documents List:

  • Birth Certificate (Affidavit where applicable)
  • Marriage Certificate (Affidavit where applicable)
  • Passport (for individuals with dual citizenship without a national birth certificate)
  • Proof of citizenship (if born outside Trinidad and Tobago)
  • All academic certificates (where applicable)
  • Updated Resume or Curriculum Vitae
  • One (1) valid picture ID:
    • National ID Card
    • Passport
    • Driver’s Permit
  • Two (2) recommendations (not older than 6 months)

3.3 Registration Process

  1. Visit https://neon.labour.gov.tt 
  2. From the Home Page, hover over Sign Up + and click Job Seeker.
  3. Complete all required fields on the registration form.
  4. Complete the CAPTCHA to verify you are not a robot.
  5. Submit the form.

After Submission:

  • You will receive:
    • A dashboard notification confirming account creation
    • Your registered email address
    • Your NEON Registration Number
  • An email will be sent containing a one-time login link to create your password.

Important: Save your email address, password, and NEON Registration Number for future use.



5. Reset Password

To reset your password:

  1. Go to either the Sign Up page or Log In page.
  2. Click Reset Password from the registration options.
  3. Enter your username or registered email address.
  4. Complete the CAPTCHA.
  5. Click Submit.

An email will be sent with a password reset link. Follow the link to create a new password and log in.


6. My Portal (Dashboard)

Once logged in, you can access your Dashboard via the My Portal tab.

Dashboard Features:

  • Edit your account information
  • Access the Job Seeker User Manual
  • Edit your Job Seeker Profile
  • Create or edit Farm Programme registration
  • View Farm Programme information
  • Navigate all NEON services

7. Job Seeker +

7.1 Job Seeker Profile

  1. Hover over Job Seeker +.
  2. Click Job Seeker Profile.

On this page, you can:

  • Answer questions
  • Complete required fields
  • Select options
  • Upload documents

You may choose to:

  • View all sections on one page, or
  • Complete the form section by section

7.2 Farm Programme Registration

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must complete your Job Seeker Profile first.
  • You must be at least 21 years old (based on date of birth at registration).
  • You must have the required documents.
  • You will be contacted for an interview and must bring original documents.

Required Identification:

  • National ID
  • Passport
  • Driver’s License

Registration Steps:

  1. Hover over Job Seeker +.
  2. Click Farm Programme Registration.
  3. Complete all required sections.
  4. Upload requested documents.

As with the Job Seeker Profile, you can choose to complete the form all at once or section by section.


8. Info
  1. Click the Info tab.

The Useful Information page includes:

  • Three information sections
  • Each section contains detailed explanations and an accompanying video

9. FAQ
  1. Click the FAQ tab.

On this page:

  • Click any question dropdown to view its answer.

10. Report Issue
  1. Click the Report Issue tab.
  2. Select the issue type.
  3. Enter the details.
  4. Submit the report.

You can also view all previously submitted issues at the bottom of the page.
